Public Schools

Jan Munger Westlake High SchoolOn November 5, 2025, residents voted to create a new school district with the cities to the west, including Eagle Mountain Fairfield City and Cedar Fort. We have created a temporary website to provide information and links to help residents understand the process and timeline for the full creation of the district. Use the following link to access the Lake Mountain School District website. (Official name to be determined.)

The city of Saratoga Springs is in the Alpine School District. The district has 1 high school, 2 middle schools, and 8 elementary schools that serve the children and youth in our community.  The district has various augmented and accelerated learning programs in the city that include a Chinese immersion and Spanish immersion program and also an accelerated learning lab. We also have 3 charter schools in the city that serve children from Kindergarten to ninth grade and schools that offer adaptive education opportunities.

Back to School Safely

We all want the kids to be able to travel to and from school safely whether your kids are carpooling, riding the bus, their bike, or walking.  Below are tips to help everyone go back to school safely.

  • Pay attention to school zones during your commute. These areas have slower speeds for kids frequently crossing the street.
  •  Watch for crossing guards. They are there to help kids cross safely. Let’s show them respect by stopping when they enter the road and using caution as we drive through a crosswalk.
  • Be patient & respectful in school drop-off zones. The best way to keep kids safe is to wait your turn and make sure you drop off and pick them up in the school's designated areas.
  • Use Carpools Or busing when possible. As schools deal with growth, carpools, and buses can cut down on the number of vehicles coming and going from the schools.
  • Leave earlier so that you have time to deal with unexpected delays. Often we make mistakes and/or compromises when we are running late which can put kids at risk.
  • If your kids are walking make sure they know their school's safe walking route. You can access more information on safe walking routes by using the link in the menu.
