Registration

Resident Only: December 22 at 9am to February 9 at midnight
Open Registration: January 20 at 9am to February 9 at midnight
Program is capped and may fill before deadline

Registration Fee

Residents:
- $92 for 3rd-6th
- $102 for 7th-12th
Non-Resident:
- $124 for 3rd-6th
- $136 for 7th-12th
Late Fee: $10 late fee if called off the waitlist
Waitlist: After registration closes, a waitlist will open up at 9am on February 10th. To get on the waitlist, register online as normal. You will not be charged to get on the list. If you are called off the waitlist, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to pay.
- IMPORTANT: If you get called of the waitlist, you will be given a deadline to pay. If payment is not received by the deadline, your registration will be canceled and we will move down the list to give others a chance.

Where:

Patriot Park
If combined with other cities, some games may be played in neighboring cities.

When:

Games begin late April and will go to June
Games played each week during the evening of a weeknight.
Rescheduled games due to rain-outs may be scheduled on any day of the week.

Affiliation

Our 3rd-8th grade age groups are affiliated with the Utah Boy’s Baseball Association (UBBA). A state tournament will be held by the UBBA the week of July 14. Games could be played any day that week during the day or evenings. Top teams from the local tournament will be eligible to compete in the state tournament.

Team Creation

3rd-8th Grades:
- Per UBBA guidelines all teams must be created with a tryout/draft process. No teammate requests can be taken for this program. The tryout/draft will be held at the end of March. The tryouts/draft will be held at Patriot Park at 444 E. 400 S. Participants will be notified via email of details as the date approaches. Age groups will be split into groups in an effort to keep the tryouts as short as possible for each child. Please show up at your child’s assigned group time. Please bring a mitt to the tryouts. We will provide bats and balls. The tryout will consist of an opportunity to show hitting skills with 5 pitches pitched from a machine, running as they will run to first after 5 pitches, catching as they will field a throw from short stop, and finally fielding at short stop and throwing to first.
9th-12th Grades (Colt league):
- Teams can put themselves together or request friends.

Tournament Equipment

At the end of the season, there will be a consolation tournament for divisions 7th grade and up.
For 7th and up, 1st and 2nd place winners will receive medals.
Some of the top teams in each age group may qualify for the UBBA tournament that will be held in July. Recreation staff will notify teams that qualify by the end of the season.
For 3rd/4th and 5th/6th divisions, there will not be a post season tournament. Teams qualifying for the UBBA tournament will be determined by regular season standings.

Equipment

Coaches will be provided helmets, bats, catcher's gear, and baseballs to use during the season
The equipment must be returned to the Recreation Department once the season is complete.

Coaches Needed

As with all of our programs we depend on volunteers to coach our teams. We greatly appreciate our volunteers and encourage everyone to volunteer if you are able. To volunteer to help coach a team please sign up during the registration process. As a thank you to all our head coaches we give a $40 credit after the season is completed to go towards a future Saratoga Springs Recreation program.
