Chris Carn is the Mayor of Saratoga Springs and has been a resident of the community for more than 20 years. Originally from Naperville, Illinois, Mayor Carn moved to Utah after serving a two-year mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He began his education at BYU-Idaho and later attended the University of Utah.

 Mayor Carn brings extensive private-sector leadership experience to his role in municipal government. He is an owner of NetSpark IP & Telecom and serves as Director of Human Resources for the NetSpark Platform of companies, a national telecommunications solutions organization. In this role, he oversees human resources strategy, organizational development, and compliance across a growing portfolio of operating companies. Previously, he spent 12 years with Hewlett-Packard and 8 years with AT&T in sales, marketing, and leadership positions.

 Mayor Carn has a long history of civic involvement in Saratoga Springs. He participated in one of the city’s first Citizens Assisting Police Services (CAPS) academies and served as a CAPS volunteer for several years. He also served six years on the Saratoga Springs Homeowners Association Board of Directors and three years on the Planning Commission. In addition, he has held various officer and delegate roles with the Utah County and State Republican Party.

 First elected to the Saratoga Springs City Council in 2019, Mayor Carn served one full term and was elected to Mayor two years into his second term on the Council. As Mayor, he is focused on thoughtful and sustainable growth, infrastructure planning that keeps pace with development, transparent and professional city operations, and preserving the high quality of life that defines Saratoga Springs.

 Mayor Carn and his wife, Angie, have four daughters and are proud to call Saratoga Springs home.
